This light fragrance is wide-eyed and graceful, with honeyed rose centifolia at the heart. Fresh and clean, with a hint of powdery musk, it’s made even more lovely with subtle notes of vanilla.

Coveted Duchess Rose—aka the yearning ingénue—is a member of the Penhaligon’s Portrait collection. The heritage-steeped perfumery was established in 1870 when a Cornish barber set up shop on Jermyn Street in London. Some 155 years later, the line is still imbued with British idiosyncrasy, and synonymous with royals, rebels, aristocracy, and the well-to-do.
