The brand L’Amande is one of the five oldest soap brands in the world. This year, it celebrates its 140th anniversary with a special collection.

All stages of soap production are carried out by skilled soap-making artisans, with a particular focus on two fundamental processes:

• Cold soap-making;
• Cutting the soap blocks after 72 hours of curing in wooden molds.

The “Almond” handmade natural soap is nourishing, featuring coconut oil for a soft lather that gently envelops, and almond oil that softens and nourishes.

This natural soap with almond and coconut oils offers significant benefits and uses:

The production exclusively uses the finest oils, perfumes, and essences from the local land, with unique aromatic and phytocosmetic benefits: olive oil, the true gold of the Mediterranean, and sweet almond oil, from which our brand derives its name; myrtle, strawberry tree, blackberry, typical plants of the Mediterranean scrub; honeysuckle and hawthorn, which scent the rural paths and adorn the typical dry stone walls; pittosporum, now an integral part of the Riviera landscape, and many others. The scents and sensations of the land, where the sea breeze mixes with warm notes, sometimes floral, sometimes more fruity, reflect the generous nature in every season. Plants, aromatic herbs, and flowers captivate the paths, hills, and even the rocks.

This hard natural soap is the only soap made using the ancient art of soap-making from the historic “Huilerie & Savonnerie de L’Amande” factory in Marseille. During the significant expansion phase of the 1950s, L’Amande crossed the Alps, becoming Italian. Genuine L’Amande Marseille soap is still produced according to ancient traditions, as it has been for centuries, with a 6-day boiling process. Marseille soap is natural, free from dyes and fragrances.
