A dual-component preservative, certified by organizations such as Ecocert or Soil, for preserving organic cosmetics. The product has not been tested on animals. This preservative contains dehydroacetic acid and benzyl alcohol, which are both effective and safe. The recommended concentration in cosmetics ranges from 0.2 to 1%. Depending on the concentration used, it can preserve cosmetics for a duration of 0-2 to 6 months.

DHA BA is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mold, and fungi. It operates across a wide pH range of 2-6. In the case of clear products (gels, shampoos, serums), it does not cause cloudiness. It can be used in cosmetics that remain on the skin as well as those that are rinsed off, due to its low toxicity it is also used in children’s products.
