1. Boil water and pour it into a glass container. Wait until the water cools to approximately 70 degrees Celsius, then submerge the entire rail into the water for no more than 30 seconds.

2. Carefully remove the splint from the water and wait for about 2–4 seconds for it to cool. This will ensure the splint is warm but won’t burn your lips or tongue.

3. Gently place the splint onto your upper or lower dental arch. Press the splint against your teeth using your tongue to remove saliva, and carefully adjust the splint over your teeth and gums with your fingers.

4. After about 1-2 minutes of careful adjustment, remove the splint from your mouth and place it into cold water for at least 2 minutes. Once cooled, the splint will retain its shape and be ready for use.

If you feel any discomfort or pressure, you can trim any excess material from the splint with a knife or scissors. If the splint doesn’t fit properly, you may repeat the above procedure.
