1. Boil water and pour it into a glass container. Wait until the water cools to approximately 70 degrees Celsius, then immerse the entire rail into the container for a maximum of 30 seconds.

2. Carefully remove the splint from the water and wait about 2–4 seconds for it to cool down. This will make the splint warm but not hot enough to burn your lips and tongue.

3. Gently place the splint onto your upper or lower dental arch. Press the splint against your teeth using your tongue to remove any saliva, and carefully adjust the splint around your teeth and gums with your fingers.

4. After about 1-2 minutes of careful adjustment, remove the splint from your mouth and place it in cold water for at least 2 minutes. Once cooled, the splint will retain its shape and be ready for use.

If you experience discomfort or pressure, you can trim any excess material from the splint using a knife or scissors. If the splint doesn’t fit properly, you can repeat the procedure described above.
