A tribute to Reliqvia, the tenth fragrance in the UNUM collection, dedicated to an extraordinary place rich in history and art, as well as a great guardian of important relics of the Passion of Christ: the Church of the Cross, considered one of the gems of Italian Baroque. This chapel, dating back to 1608, was built by the will of the Brotherhood of the Sacrament and the Cross, which is still active today. Filippo, a member of this brotherhood, serves in special roles as an organist and artistic director. Reliqvia speaks of walls adorned with gilded wood, elegantly decorated with carvings and reliefs, and of the incense on the steps leading to the grand main altar, resembling golden embroidery, where a statue of the dead Christ, a 17th-century wooden masterpiece, is kept and can be viewed only once a year. It also aims to synesthetically frame the altarpiece by Federico Barocci, “The Entombment of Christ,” one of the most beautiful works by the artist from Urbino, created in 1582, for which he also designed the frame.
