However, the underlying cause of these white flakes is always the same — the Malassezia furfur fungus, which thrives in the ideal microenvironment of the scalp.

To eliminate seborrhea, the specialized Lotion Anti Dandruff from the Sebomax series can be of great help. Its active formula was developed by experts at the laboratory of the Bulgarian brand Biotrade. The composition is based on two key ingredients – selenium sulfide (1%) and salicylic acid (2%). The first ingredient eradicates bacteria, while the second regulates the secretion of sebum on the scalp. The lotion has a liquid consistency that does not weigh down the hair or strip it of its natural volume and texture. Moreover, the product alleviates uncomfortable itching, flakiness, white residue, and redness on the epidermis, providing long-lasting relief.

Apply to the roots of damp hair with massaging motions immediately after washing. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse with water. Use twice a week until the problem is fully resolved and for prevention—once every 3-4 weeks. In cases diagnosed by a dermatologist with pronounced pityriasis versicolor, apply the lotion as follows: after bathing, apply to damp skin only on affected areas, leave for 15 minutes and rinse with water. Use once a day for 5 consecutive days. For prevention, at the beginning of summer, apply once a day for 3 consecutive days. When using the lotion, remove all silver jewellery, as it may oxidize upon contact with the selenium sulfide contained.
