Place the candle away from windows on a stable, non-flammable surface, such as ceramic. The optimal burning time is between 3 to 4 hours to prevent tunneling (the top layer of wax should melt to a depth of about 1-2 cm in one session). Regularly trim the wick to approximately 0.5 cm. Do not drop pieces of the wick or other substances into the wax.
